BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Travis Dudding was born in Blacksburg, Virginia, USA, and started his career as a scientist at a very early age. As a high-school student he worked in the laboratory of Dr. Tomas Hudlicky at Virginia Tech, and later as an Undergraduate Student. While an undergraduate at Virginia Tech, he took a two year research position at Burroughs Wellcome in the Research Triangle Park (RTP), North Carolina. He then returned to Virginia Tech to complete his B.Sc. while working in the group of Dr. Richard Gandour. After graduation, he worked at NIH under Dr. Sanford P. Markey as an NIH research fellow. Next, Dr. Dudding went on to complete his Ph.D. at Johns Hopkins University with Dr. Thomas Lectka. He then moved to California to work at UCLA with Dr. Kendall N. Houk as an NIH funded postdoctoral fellow. In 2004, Dr. Dudding became an Assistant Professor of Organic Chemistry at Brock University and in 2018 Dr. Dudding was promoted to Professor of Chemistry.
